At Cater Clean 24 Seven, we believe professional kitchen duct cleaning requires more than experience alone. Our teams need ongoing training, practical knowledge, strong safety awareness and a clear understanding of compliance expectations.
That is why we recently brought our kitchen duct cleaning teams into head office for refresher training at our dedicated training centre.
Bringing Our Teams Together
To begin the day, our operatives came together to refresh their knowledge, revisit important working practices and strengthen the skills they use on site every day.
Kitchen extract and ductwork cleaning can involve complex systems, restricted access, heavy grease build-up and detailed reporting requirements. Because of this, regular refresher training helps our teams work safely, thoroughly and consistently across every site.
Practical Kitchen Duct Cleaning Refresher Training
After reviewing key working practices, the teams moved on to the practical side of the training.
This included cutting access hatches into ductwork, which plays a vital role in many kitchen duct cleaning projects. Without suitable access, our operatives cannot clean the full system properly. Even the most experienced cleaning team can only clean the areas they can safely reach.
During the practical session, our teams worked directly on ductwork in our training centre. They refreshed their understanding of how to identify suitable access points, cut hatches safely and support a more thorough clean throughout the extract system.
Why Access Matters
Access remains one of the most important parts of effective kitchen duct cleaning.
When ductwork does not have enough access points, sections of the system can become unreachable. As a result, hidden grease build-up may remain inside the ductwork, which can lead to incomplete cleaning and difficulties when producing accurate reports.
For this reason, our training reinforces the importance of raising access issues, documenting findings clearly and helping clients understand what needs to happen to achieve a more complete and compliant clean.
Theory-Based Training
Alongside the practical refresher work, our teams also completed theory-based training.
This part of the session covered safe systems of work, risk awareness, compliance expectations, photographic evidence, reporting standards and clear communication before, during and after each job.
In addition, the theory side helps our operatives understand why each stage of the process matters. It supports better decision-making on site and helps our teams deliver a consistent service from start to finish.
Supporting Safer, Cleaner Commercial Kitchens
Professional kitchen duct cleaning helps commercial kitchens manage grease build-up, support hygiene standards and reduce fire safety risks within extraction systems.
For restaurants, hotels, schools, care homes, food production facilities and other commercial catering environments, regular cleaning and clear reporting form an important part of planned maintenance.
Therefore, investing in refresher training does not only support our teams. It also supports the clients who rely on us to deliver detailed, professional and well-documented kitchen duct cleaning services.
Training That Benefits Our Clients
By bringing our teams together for practical and theory-based refresher training, we continue to invest in the quality of our service.
Our clients benefit from operatives who understand the job, know how to carry it out properly and recognise the importance of access, safety, compliance and reporting.
At Cater Clean 24 Seven, we take pride in delivering professional kitchen duct cleaning services backed by knowledge, experience and attention to detail.
